Any more takers for EDCI 521?

Hi All:
Is anyone considering registering for EDCI 521 for the fall semester? I'm waitlisted, and the professor suggested we get a few more people to sign up so they might open another section. If you haven't signed up yet but were planning to, please do as soon as you can, so they can see whether there are enough folks to create another section. Thanks!

Sorry I missed the picnic. I completely spaced out and didn't remember until I was making dinner at 7 p.m. Boy did I feel stupid! Sometimes I wonder how I manage to get through life, you know?

I went to FastTrain 777 orientation, otherwise known as the George Flowers Experience. He had a wonderful PPnt and lectured about expectations and do's and don'ts for 45 minutes and then said "It feels good to be hit in the head with a hammer--when it stops hurting." 777 starts March 1 online and has many online deadlines and then meets July 16, 2008 to present and finish.

Need Cohort Brain Power!

So, I interviewed for an adult ESL program. Now they want me to come back and give a 40-minute teaching demonstration to an Intermediate level Speaking and Listening class. I have some ideas for a lesson plan, but nothing terribly exciting. I thought I'd pose the question to the group to see if anyone has any real WOW ideas, since I've been blown away by many of your ideas in the past. Don't think too hard, but if an idea comes to you, let me know. Thanks!

Courtroom Drama

OK, for those of you following my courtroom drama...he admitted to everything in court today, and the judge gave him 10 days in jail (suspended for 12 months good behavior). I hope he got the message. Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers and for listening to things that aren't easy to hear!!!

. . . .indeed . . . thanks for posting those pics, Yasemin. It keeps the cohort alive - haven't we all learned that pics are worth a thousand words? Jeb, I'd smoke a cigar with the ladies to celebrate the feeling of almost completing licensure. I do have that portfolio to attend to . . .speaking of which.. . I know I should know this, but can someone tell me if those of us that started teaching in the fall have to take the VCLA test?
